Ken Dunipace 2nd Annual
Memorial Benefit and
Art Show

<

Twenty of L.A.’s best artists. An elegant Old Hollywood setting.
And the biggest after-party of the year.

The Second Annual Ken Dunipace Memorial Benefit and Art Show will take place on Saturday, October 11, in the historic Broadway Building at the corner of Hollywood and Vine. This remarkable setting features unobstructed, panoramic views of the Capitol Building and the Hollywood Sign.

Among the artists who will display their work for purchase are Alfredo de Batuc, whose paintings are part of the permanent collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and Bobbi Bennett whose photography is part of the permanent collection of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Artists will be on hand to discuss their work.

The event begins at 8 p.m., but a special pre-show art sale begins at 6 p.m. for selected buyers. Those wishing to attend the pre-show may request a vip invitation. The art show will be curated by Michael Hicks and Ed Tellefsen (contact information below).
A party in conjunction with the art show will run to 1 a.m., featuring two full bars, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and dancing. Last year’s party – advertised by word of mouth alone – drew more than 1,500 people (see photos), as celebrities and entertainment executives mixed with artists, musicians, and many others.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the wife and 2-year-old son of Ken Dunipace (see photos), who died last year at the age of 34 after an eight-year fight against cancer. Ken was a visionary musician and songwriter, a gifted record producer, and a man of unbounded courage, patience, and kindness. The benefit is organized by his friends. Last year’s event brought in $15,000 for Lisa and Ian Dunipace.
Ten percent of all proceeds will also be donated to the City of Hope, a remarkable institution that fought to see that Ken would have a chance to see his son’s birth.
